SCHOOLS CAROL SINGING – MON14TH -FRI 18TH DECEMBER
Meadowlane Shopping Centre will be hosting a ‘Schools Carol Singing Week’ from Monday 14th December to Friday 18th December 2009. During the week several local schools from the Magherafelt area will be coming to the centre at various times throughout the day to do some carol singing. The school children will be bringing some festive cheer to Meadowlane as they entertain the customers and will be showcasing the local musical talent Magherafelt has to offer. At the end of the week, the judges will decide which schools have impressed the most and those schools will win money towards their music supplies for their school.
So come on down to Meadowlane to hear the wonderful carol singing every day from Mon 14th to Fri 18th December.
SANTA HAS ARRIVED AT MEADOWLANE!!
It’s the moment everyone has been waiting for…..Santa has arrived at Meadowlane Shopping Centre!
Santa and his helpers arrived at Meadowlane on Sunday 22nd November with a little help from the Magherafelt Fire & Rescue Service. He arrived in style in a big red fire engine and is now safely in his grotto where he will stay until Christmas Eve.
Santa’s friends Rudolph the Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman were both there to welcome him to Meadowlane. Santa’s helpers, the elves, were also there and they will be staying with Santa at the grotto to help him give out presents to all the children who come along to see him. Also there on the day were pupils from The Mid Ulster School of Music and Kirsty’s Kinetic Kids who helped entertain Santa and the crowds with some festive singing and dancing.
Opening hours for the grotto can be found on this website or at the grotto itself. Why not bring the kids along to get their picture taken with Santa and a present too.
